The need was to produce structural and miscellaneous steel components, which O’Harrow required to expedite and more completely control the construction process. The idea was a success, in fact so successful that today Swan Steel is a supplier to the entire construction industry in the Great Lakes area.
- The ability to control structural and miscellaneous steel on a construction project is critical to early project delivery. Getting the building "under cover" is essential to putting such trades as electrical, mechanical and HVAC to work. Missing or mis-fabricated steel components can reek havoc on the schedule. Producing the components in-house through Swan Steel reduces overall production times and minimizes delays by providing for immediate resolution should problems occur.
